Our final paired reading of the season approaches! Join us in the Stone Spiral Gallery on Tuesday, April 12, at 7 PM to listen to Daniel Musgrave and Shine Goodie share their work.
Daniel Musgrave is currently a graduate student working toward his MFA in Fiction writing from University of Missouri- St. Louis where he also serves as the Associate Managing Editor of Natural Bridge Literary Journal. Before arriving at UMSL, Dan studied great ape cognition for nearly seven years and earned an MA in Biological Anthropology from Iowa State University for his study of captive ape gestures. Though he is primarily a fiction writer, his nonfiction piece, “Worry,” was a finalist for the Missouri Review’s 2015 Jeffrey E. Smith Editor’s Prize in Essay and is forthcoming from that journal. This summer he will be attending the Odyssey Writing Workshop, a 6-week intensive experience focused on genre writing.
Melissa Singleton (Shine Goodie) is from St. Louis and loves this complicated town, so many problems but also innumerable beautiful & progressive people working toward good lives for ourselves and each other. Melissa hosts a monthly literary event called Goodie House poetry & stories (for lovers, writers, and freedom fighters) the fourth Thursday of the month, February through October, at Human Spaces venue in South City.
We hope to see you there, friends. It’ll be a lovely time.
